Cookies in a Jar

with Fresh Ground Wheat Berries & Brown Sugar 

There's nothing like the smell of warm cookies, right out of the oven!

Mmmmmm.  And do we have a great recipe. 

We use whole wheat flour, which we grind ourselves, plus brown sugar.

All of our ingredients are fresh.

My daughter Bethanie is 10.

 She takes canning jars and layers all the dry ingredients for you.

All you have to do is add the fresh butter, egg and some real vanilla.

There are instructions attached to each jar.

Makes a great gift for the holidays, when everyone is especially busy.

And while supplies last, we have used some "antique" lid covers on the jars.

We cut some cute calico printed cotton and place it over the jar.

The color of the fabric lids may vary.

These are really good.  Oatmeal cookies with cinnamon, nutmeg & cloves.  Plus, we added chocolate covered raisins.  Yummy!
